Inspired by premium motorcycle helmets technology, Samshield helmets are made of the most performant materials in order to offer to exigeant riders a real advance in terms of protection and comfort.

MATERIALS FOR OPTIMAL SAFETY

The outer shell of the helmet is made of polycarbonate, which is a material used, among other things, for high-end motorcycle helmets. It is equipped with original Alcantara®.The inner shell is made of polystyrene with variable density providing a better dissipation of the energy produced upon impact.

STABILITY

The internal comfort foam, “shape memory”-kind, ensuring a constant thickness over the years of use and the semi-rigid jugular cancel all risks of tipping the helmet in case of a violent movement. This internal comfort foam is removable thanks to a much stronger clip system than the scratch/Velcro system. It can therefore be washed at will in order to constantly be able to wear a clean and fragrant helmet. 

PERFECT SIZE ADJUSTMENT FOR UNMATCHED COMFORT

A thorough anthropomorphic study led to design an inner-shell form generating an unmatched comfort.3 shell sizes are available (M, L, XL). Each shell can accommodate 5 to 6 inner foams of different sizes in order to obtain a perfect adjustment to the rider’s head. The size grid is available from 52 to 64. With this system, it is also possible to follow the growth of a young rider

INCREDIBLE INTERNAL AIRFLOW

Equipped with two front air inlets, the Premium helmet provides exceptional ventilation. Fresh air is channelled from both the front entrance under the blazon as well as the channel obtained by the unique concept of no contact on the rider’s forehead. Fresh air expels the hot air to the back extractors around comfort foam, making impossible sweating! This concept generates a strong internal airflow avoiding the need for visible and unsightly air inlets: the equestrian elegance is retained without banishing technicality and comfort.

Delivered with a removable and washable inside comfort liner (clip system fixation) + a transport backpack. Available with « dressage chin strap » option: neck part with reduced length in order to get more room for the hair bun.

The Samshield Premium Helmet can be personalised with different top panels, trims and the option of beautiful Swarovski Crystals – you can also have your name printed on the leather harness. CERTIFICATIONS

Samshield helmets in this version have the certification CE-EN1384 (2012 edit).

Some federations like British Eventing request that helmets have SEI-ASTM (North American Standards) certification.

Samshield also supplies a SEI-ASTM certified version which is not exactly the same than CE version. The price is the same but the sizing and external volume differs.

Meaning: 

SMALL: ASTM (size from 6-3/8 to 6-3/4) = equivalent to shell M-CE

MEDIUM: ASTM (size from 6-7/8 to 7-1/8 = equivalent to shell L-CE

LARGE: ASTM (size from 7-1/4 to 7-3/4) = equivalent to shell XL-CE
